We all know the story, right? The unpopular girl falls for the popular guy who later realizes that he doesn't care about being popular, but just about being with her. Or two people who hate each other are forced to work together and end up falling in love. Or, probably the most unrealistic one, the girl is swept off her feet by some prince charming and they live happily ever after. However, it doesn't seem that this happens much in real life, does it? What's the purpose of telling a story that could never really happen? And that is the beauty of it, the best stories are the ones that nobody believes could happen, but everyone wishes would happen. And there in lies the problem.
Today's society has grown to become to accepting. We all say that we wish something grand would happen to us, yet seem to settle for the first thing that comes along. And to me that is just a shame. I myself still believe that there is still a thing called fate. A moment where two people see each other and feel as if they have known each other for their whole lives, and yet they just met. And even though we see something like that happen in almost ever other movie nowadays, why do I feel like I'm the only one who still thinks it to be true.
I was watching a show just the other day and I believe one of the characters shared the same experience that I am. And yes I know it was on TV but just bare with me. So he meets these two girls and feels like both would be great girlfriends and so he spends the majority of the show trying to choose which one he wants to go on a second date with. But, at the end of the episode, he realizes that he wasn't to have to choose between two girls who both seem alright. He feels that he shouldn't be debating between two, but rather be so crazy about one that it isn't even a choice. And I agree with him completely. A lot of people today just get into relationships just to say that they are in one, yet don't truly feel the way you should whenever you are with someone. I want to be able to meet someone and want nothing more than for them to say they feel the same way about me as I do about them. Call me a dreamer, but that's how a feel.
And so now for the hard part, how do you do this in a world where almost no one else feels this way? And that's when I remember a song I heard in my childhood and didn't quite understand it until now. It says that somewhere out there, someone is saying a prayer, that we will find one another, in that big somewhere out there. I don't know if I've already met the one God has chosen for me to be with, or if I have yet to meet her, or even if there is someone out there crazy enough to love me. But what I do know is that I will never stop believing that fate is real, and that whenever that moment comes I will be ready. I've waited 18 years, what's 10, 20, or 30 more whenever I have great family and friends around me. I just pray every time I remember that whoever or whenever she is, that she is doing okay and that she just might believe I'm somewhere out there as well. And for that, I keep on smiling.

Introduction
Hello and let me first say thanks for reading my blog! I decided this time around I would go ahead and write about myself and some of the things I like. So without further ado, here are five things that I think give you a little insight into my world.
1. I love God! He has done so much for me in my life. I had a wonderful youth group for my middle and high school days that I would never give up for the world. Also, the Razorbacks for Christ group here on campus is amazing and I don't know how I could get through school without them and I've only be apart of the group for a little over 4 weeks! And when I talk about my Christianity I have to mention my church camp. Every year for the past 10 years I have gone to Burnt Cabin Christian Camp for one week every summer. I know that if someone offered me a million dollars to not go to camp, even just for one year, I would turn them down in a heartbeat. BCCC is where I first and always feel God, where I gave my first devo, where I got baptized, where I baptized two amazing kids, and where I have cried the most. My dad puts it best when he says, "It's the closest thing to heaven on earth."
2. I like to play games. And not just video games, but games of all kind. Card games are the best. The Game, 13, speed, get in get out, and poop on your neighbor are some of my favorites. I also play many board games, such as Apples to Apples, Risk, Life, and Settlers of Catan (the best board game ever!). However, video games are something that have been apart of my life for quite a long time. Ever since the old NES days, I've been a gamer. Some of my favorite games (in no particular order) are Super Smash Brothers, Donkey Kong Country, Fallout 3, Left 4 Dead 1&2, Twisted Metal 3, and the Halo series. Also, my gamerscore is almost at 30K!
3. I enjoy playing sports and doing stuff outside. Basketball, tennis, and ultimate are my favorites, but I will play mostly any sport. Baseball, however, is something I usually refuse to play. I love to watch it, but I can barely hit the ball when I throw it up in the air, let alone hit it whenever someone else does. As for outside activities, I like to run sometimes, hike, and raft. I haven't rafted or hiked that much, but I would like to do it more. But if there is one thing I love to do outside more than anything else, it's walk in the rain! It feels so good.
4. I like to listen to radio shows and audio dramas. Well actually I only listen to one audio drama, but it is like one of my favorite things in the world. As for radio shows, I listen to gaming podcasts, like 4 player podcast and IGN podcasts, sports radio, like The Herd (Colin is hilarious!), and others that are just talk shows, such as My Brother, My Brother, and Me. The audio drama I listen to is called We're Alive. For those that don't know, a radio drama is pretty much a TV show with no visual. It is currently about to begin season 3, but I have been listening to season 1 and 2 again that I have in box set, so if you want to listen too just ask for my Cd's or go to zombiepodcast.com. Also, it comes out on Mondays so that just makes my Mondays that much grander!

I feel like the more ways that you hear someone explain something, the better you understand it. The best example of this was my first year in the senior cabin at church camp. The last night all of the senior campers are allowed to stay up as long as they want, so me and some of the older campers decided to sit on a stone bench down by the softball field. As I sat there, I listened to all of the things they were talking about and it just gave me such a new view on the world. That time is probably one of my favorite memories from church camp!

First blog!
So one of my friends blogs some and so I decided to go ahead and start my own! I just started to use this though and it is currently 1 AM so I've decided to write this, my first blog ever, about the great day I had today that made me want to start blogging. I will try to post another one sometime next week that kinda describes me and my life right now, and hopefully by then I will figure out how to put pictures, but for now I will go with today!
Alright, so to start I must first begin by talking about Thursday. I had a Physics Two test that day at 6 PM, my first test of college, so I was a little stressed about it and some other stuff. But with the help of one of my new friends here at the University of Arkansas, I was able to calm down and then after about 5 HOURS of studying and doing practice problems I went and took the test, and the proceeded to crash. So now for Friday!
So my day starts out like any other. Wake up, get ready, and then watch some sports center. I then being my long trek up the hill from Pomfret (my dorm) to my first class at the top. And this is no small hill, but we will get to that later too. So my first class today was Calculus 3. So far the class had been pretty easy, but our first test was this morning and I hadn't had much time to study because of physics. But once I got the test I realized that it was easy and pretty sure I aced it! Good way to start the day.
After class I had my meeting with my mentor for engineering. At the U of A, mostly all engineering students take intro to engineering, which means that we all get a peer mentor that we meet with once a week to talk about different topics. Mine is very cool and relaxed so I enjoy our meetings. After the meeting I went to the RFC (Razorbacks for Christ, will talk about them later as well!) house to hang out before my next class. Then friend I talked about earlier who blogs was there working on her new blog, so I watched her finish it and then she showed me random websites. Fun times!
Next on the schedule was intro to engineering. All we did in there today was talk about time management and our new project, so not much. After I went back to the RFC house where the campus minister was starting a "deeper issues" study that would happen ever Friday. It was very interesting and I can't wait til next time for the next part! I then proceeded to go to chemistry class, but not before I was chased down the street by my friend. Long story, but funny.
Chemistry has to be the only class where it might be better to just not listen at all to the teacher and just read the book only. It has to be the biggest waste of an hour I have ever had. But after chemistry is history, which is very enjoyable! It's American history, but the teacher is German, which I found to be kinda funny. He is very interesting though and has a cool accent so it's all good. Plus, no tests in there, ever!
So now with classes done and the weekend coming up, I headed back down the hill to the dorm for some nice relaxing time. After a while I decided to head over to the gym, which is thankfully not up the hill but only a block away from my dorm. I played some basketball with some people there and actually was making most of my shots, and we won, so it was awesome! I hadn't played in a while so it felt good to play again. After that I went and got some food and since then have just been in my dorm hanging out.
So overall, nothing to exciting happen today, but all the good things just added up to make one amazing day. Oh, and I forgot to mention that I got an 88.6 on my up2 exam, was able to talk to one of my best friends who lives quite a distance away for a while, and it sprinkled the whole day! (I like to walk in the rain, it feels good). So that was my day! And now I'm not sure how to end this, but I hope anyone who reads it enjoys it, and remember to always try to keep smiling! :).
